Bowles and Licht are fired Monday.
Which one lands another job first (at their respective positions)?
Pretty sure 98% of us know the answer to this.
I don’t even think Bowles lands a DC job
licht would get hired immediately by struggling franchise searching for stability
Bowles could land a DC job because teams are always looking for DCs. Same with GMs for Licht.

Little Ive heard from him and others, this is probably his last coaching job? I think he is mid-60s. Not tnat people don't coach longer, but I think he'd retire.
wild guess

yeah i think they do an Arians and promote the guy to some bullshit from office position as opposed to a firing
as much as we hate Bowles for the Kupp blitz debacle in 2021 season or the underachievement of the team in 2022 and now 2025; the guy has been with the franchise since 2019 season so i do think they sugar coat it a bit
If a new coach comes in do they keep the front 7 or fix it?
Answer carefully.

Regardless of whether a new coach comes in or they stick with Mr. Mediocrity, the front 7 needs to (and most certainly will) be a point of emphasis in the offseason.
Nobody is saying Licht is infallible in the same manner you do with Bowles.

Never said Bowles is infallible. Just don’t think he deserves to be fired and doesn’t deserve the disrespect from Bucs media and fans.
Licht gets undeserved protection from 90+% of Bucs fans and media. Ronde Barber’s comments were proof.
Licht has his warts as well. However I think it's not surprising at all actually to see the hc get the majority of the blame from the fans and media. That's pretty much always what happens. Doesnt mean at all that the GM is innocent in anything. The hc is the one who coaches the players so obviously he will get the most heat. Gm gets heat too I don't know if you actually read this board but people criticize Licht all the time on here. Why did he draft them when he was on the board? Why did we draft a kicker? Why didn't we make a trade to help the team out this year? You see these posts all the time. You just rarely see the fire posts with him because Bowles is the one people will ultimately blame and I think that is not wrong at all. He's not a good hc at all. Anyone defending him at this point is just trying to be different. Not surprising jc500 has a different opinion I think he's made it his personality on here to be different from all the other posters. Doesn't mean he's right about this one. Bowles definitely needs to go. Licht can go too. But it shouldn't surprise anyone Bowles catches most of the heat.
Never said Bowles is infallible.
If this is true, how much of the crappy defensive picks are on the DC and HC/DC?
Both. Yes Licht has to identify the good players, but Bowles has to sign off and know how to utilize them. And he has to coach them up. It's at the minimum 50% on Bowles and that's enough to fire him IMO. Licht has the opportunity to prove himself by picking a coach who can get something out of these underperforming guys.Never said Bowles is infallible.

Bowles has to do more than give motivational speeches. He and his coaches have to come up with some creative solutions and that's not happening.
Gruden hopefully. Just no personnel decisions.

Bucs need a young offensive mind to take control of this team. Offense has a lot of pieces to work with but need new ideas on defense.
