Why did the Bucs draft Bo Jackson?

Basically I started watching the Bucs a couple of years after the 1985 draft, but why exactly did the Bucs draft Bo when he said he didn't want to play here AND the Bucs already had James Wilder?Was it just that Bo was that amazingly good, that it didn't matter? I know the Bucs thought that Bo was bluffing about baseball, but again out of all the issues with the Bucs team then RB didn't seem to standout as being their top concern.Also the fact the Bucs could have had Bo Jackson and Steve Young in the same backfield in Tecmo Bowl... that's a real disgrace that it didn't happen.
