I've read everyone's scouting reports, and watched as much as I can on YouTube, not just the highlights. And I've come to a conclusion.Floyd has the highest ceiling of all the DE's in this draft for pass rushing. His strengths (quickness, twitch, bend, length) are things that can't be taught or changed at the next level. His weakness (strength, bulk) is easily fixed in an NFL weight room. Scouts all seem to think his ideal playing weight in the NFL is 250. He weighed in at the combine at 244, up from 230, and he didn't lose any of his speed. (Von Miller is 249)Will he be a force day 1, no. But a lot of scouts agree that he very well could surpass all the pass rushers in this draft after he gets his body built up a bit. Outside of Aldon Smith, rookie pass rushers usually take a year or two to adjust. He also has flexibility in position. Was he a great linebacker, no. But he can move around, and with added strength and NFL coaching that can grow. But he is a pure pass rusher, and has the potential to be the best of the bunch. If you want a long, bendy flexible quick twitch pass rusher. He is the guy. Just need a little patience after you draft him.
