Gotta agree with other posters, they put nicks on IR with MRSA, tynes sues this organization for all it's worth. It's a shady move but one that covers the Bucs butt

That's not what Tynes wants though, he want the money, including the pension issues etc. The Bucs would never put him on IR they would just settle with him
If they put him on IR he gets his salary and his time vested so there are no more pension issues

We will have to see how the Nicks thing plays out but I don't like the odds. The guy is still having issues with the foot/toe and now there's talk he may never play again. He's already made a ton of money on 2 seasons where he missed a ton of time. As bad as our line has been, I don't know that we can afford to pay him that much if it's still going to be iffy on him playing. I'd rather just reach an injury settlement and move on. Bottom line is the team has to act as if Nicks won't be back. If he does come back, then great. Until that happens, we need at least 2 guards and a LT and possibly a center. The only lineman I am comfortable bringing back next year is Dotson.

Whether he did it or not he's the Captain of the ship. Payton didn't participate in Bountygate yet he was suspended for 1 year for being the man in charge. Schiano doesn't need to do everything but he does get ALL the blame. That's just how it works in business.
