What I like most about this draft is what it is being criticized most for, it is an acceptance and admittance of previous mistakes and a hedging of bets. I love that we drafted 2 true man CBs, because even though we spent several high picks at the position in recent years, no one we have in house has the look of a reliable press CB. Whether it's MJ Stewart's speed, VH3's injury history and length, or Carlton Davis's ability to find the ball in the air, there were big time reasons to think CB depth would again become an achilles heel. Same goes for the consistency of Justin Evans and Jordan Whitehead at Safety. As for the kicking game, I don't understand the criticism on the pick. How could you be comfortable going into the season with Cairo Santos knowing we have to get inside the 30 to have a realistic chance for a field goal when in playoff game after playoff game this year and every year you see the importance of a kicker who can hit from range? Yeah, Aguayo was a horrible pick, but that has nothing to do with Matt Gay. The fact that Gay is already 25 and the fact that he won't have to handle kickoffs, make me very comfortable that he can come in and avoid most of the usual growing pains of a rookie kicker. Yes, we still have a lot of question marks on the O-Line and rushing the passer, but we knew coming in to the draft we weren't going to be able to address everything, we do already have young guys who could still be the answers at some of those positions, and those are weaknesses we have more of a chance to compensate for by keeping TE's in to block (which OJ Howard is great at) and by blitzing. I think this year's Buccaneers team will be the most complete we have seen in a long time.
