Updated NFC wild-card standings: Vikings 9-2 Packers 8-3 Commanders 7-5 Cardinals 6-5 Rams 5-5 49ers 5-6 Bucs 5-6 (Tampa Bay has head-to-head tiebreaker on Washington, conference record tiebreaker on Cards and Rams; they lose head-to-head with SF)
tie breakers looking good sans SF! Plenty of work to be done obviously but we more or less control our own destiny
win out we are definetly in
lose 1 I like our chances(chargers)
lose 2 or more not likely
divison still more likely atl has a tougher schedule than us by far.
Bucs have to keep stacking wins. Sooner or later the other NFC teams are going to beat each other up and the wild card and divisional race will be a lot closer than what people thought back in Oct.

the next 2 weeks will be telling. Can't drop a game to the Panthers or Raiders so like you say, do our part to get to 7-6
the Falcons have tough games against Chargers and Vikings, so we could find ourselves controlling our own destiny in 2 weeks.
also looks like the 7th seed is in play with Washington dropping a game to the Cowboys. The only problem with that is all the teams in the mix in the NFC West and not sure how tie breakers play out.
Atlanta 6-5 vs Chargers, @Vikings, @Raiders, vs Giants, @Commanders, Panthers
Tampa Bay 5-6 @Panthers, vs Raiders, @Chargers, @Cowboys, vs Panthers, vs Saints
The NFCS is not in the bag for the Falcons. If they lose 2 games, the Bucs have to win out. If they lose 3 games, the Bucs have to win 5 out of 6. I don't see the Falcons losing more than 3 games vs those opponents. That second loss to the Falcons really hurt the Bucs chances. The Wild Card is a more likely route to the playoffs for the Bucs.
Unless we sweep the rest of the schedule, Falcons @ Commanders will likely determine if we're the 3 or the 7
Cousins and Mooney got a chance to rest up. The Chargers are traveling across the continent coming off a Monday night game while the Falcons are coming off the bye. I don't know why the NFL screws with teams' schedules like that. Atlanta has no right to lose this week, but on the other hand neither do the Bucs. Should be interesting.

chargers favored by 2 on the road. Would think Chargers D handles Atlanta offense similar to Denver.
Also coming off the bye with Raheem Morris as your head coach isn't exactly Andy Reid or Mike Tomlin.
would be disappointed if Chargers, coming off a loss, didn't handle their business.
The Bucs play their last regular season game at home against the Saints. Nothing would please the Saints more than knocking the Bucs out of the playoffs.

this game worries me most. Remember, last year?
but...we need to take it one game at a time. Carolina looks formidable taking Chiefs to the brink...
The Vikings have to play against the Cardinals, Falcons, Bears, Seahawks, Packers and Lions. None of those games are an easy out for them but I think 2 more wins seals a wild card spot for them.
The Packers have to play against the Dolphins, Lions, Seahawks, Saints, Vikings and Bears. Just like the Vikings, the Packers have tough games and no easy out for them either. The Packers need 3 more wins to be safe as a wild card.

it would take quite a collapse by the Vikings and Packers. I think most are penciling them in with the 5th and 6th seeds. Also safe to put in the Eagles and Lions as the other division winners.
The final 3 spots are down too
NFC South Winner - Falcons or Bucs
NFC West Winner - All four teams in play
#7 Seed WC - Non Division winners of South/West along with Commanders.
way too muddy up at this point
My predictions:
AFC
1 - Bills 14-3
2 - Chiefs 14-3
3 - Ravens 13 -4
4 - Texans 10-7
5 - Chargers 11-6
6 Steelers 10-7
7 - Denver 10-7
Just missing out - Bengals 9-8
NFC
1. Lions 14-3
2. Eagles 13-4
3. 49ers 10-7
4. Falcons 9-8
5. Vikings 12 -5
6. Commanders 11-6
7. Packers 11-6
Just missing out - Bucs 9-8, Rams 9-8, Cardinals 9-8, Saints 9-8
have us losing to Chargers and Saints; here's hoping my confidence improves each and every week
Imo, a few teams are gonna regress.
Washington I think struggles down the stretch as does Atlanta.
Bucs lose one game but not sure which one.
49ers will continue to struggle imo. Defense isn't elite anymore, Purdy came back down to earth and their WRs aren't elite. CMC looks a step slow.
Vikings I think will also struggle down the stretch. 3 of the last 4 games are divisional.

It seems everybody is taking the Chiefs to the brink this year.
No doubt in my mind we go on a run. If those young pass rushers can come alive and build confidence into the playoffs we have a chance at a superbowl but thats only if the pass rushers like Diaby,JTS, Kancey, turn into probowl level players by the playoffs

we have no chance at a Superbowl lol. But can we make it interesting, for sure?
Last year was fun with a playoff win. i'll take that again!
The NFC appears wide open and we do seem to have the Eagles number.
i think we need to take it one week at a time...next goal...get to .500 on Sunday
