People here and elsewhere (Bucnation/PewterPlank) that have been critical of the story seem to be focusing on all the wrong parts of the story. It's not really about instagram, the total number of fines, etc. It's that the GM who paid him a lot of money and the HC who was there at the time seemed to think that his behavior was becoming a problem. That suggests to me that they saw links between what they were seeing off the field and what they were seeing on it (i.e. practice field, meeting rooms, etc.).
exactly
Mike Williams should have been put on IR sooner but he was still out there playing football...he was a clearly injured...only someone with a black heart would question William's dedication to football.
And for whom is he the scapegoat in this little conspiracy theory of yours?
Bah. Same group that said blount, bennett, and talib didn't have their toes on the line.Same coach who bought revis and went zone coverage, but the year before he was playing man2man coverage with myron lewis, biggers, and lj.Same coach who couldn't say the truth, and got bitxhed out by a kicker's wife.I really would suggest everyone take info from them with a huge grain of salt. They didn't know wtf they were doing.

Give me a break.

funny watching you troll
I felt like it wasn't clear in the story whether all of the $200k in fines occurred while he was on IR (which now seems to be impossible), or during the course of the year. Remember, the hamstring bothered him throughout 2013 - it's possible that he missed rehab (and/or meetings) before he was on IR. Agree. I would be interested to see the timeline. When he was put on IR, after week 9 was it? And when did these fines occur? Before or after?
Something about this story stinks....not sure if it's PR or this "source" but NFLPA advises that he cannot be fined for missing meetings while on IR. So are we supposed to believe he's totalling $200k in fines by missing rehab treatment at 1 Buc?
Former Bucs regime. Enough said.

What if Freeman wasn't the only one showing up late or sleeping in meetings??
Big difference though. Mike was on IR, Freeman not.He is not required to attend meeting when on IR.
Mike was not on IR all season. As previously stated, i'll await his denial.
I'm confused with what his "awful sin" was. Posting strip club pictures on instagram?
+1
+2Having a rap group?Partying in his own free time?
Apparently Mwill is a villain compared to a guy like Kenny Britt. *sarcasm*
$200,000 in fines . . . . what's that, 6 dinners and a lunch for the Caveman?
Gotta wait and see what he does with the new regime. I know for a fact that he tried to play through his injury last year. Contrary to what Schiano thinks, players can have fun and be professional all at the same time. More than likely, MW19 just didn't want to deal with dumb ass Schiano. I don't blame him for that at all. He really needs to rethink this social media crap. It is hurting his career.
Apparently we have the Puritan hall monitors all upset about what MWill does on social media.

I believe Mike was put on IR after week 6. game 8 EDITMike went on IR Oct 28th after game 8

Unless the article is poorly worded, the article states that the fines occurred over the last 2 months of the season indicating after IR.
