I hear ya JD but throwing money at an immature guy is never a good thing...he's always had physical talent but deficient in other areas. I'd have no problem moving on from him if he can't get his act together...
https://twitter.com/Mikebuc19 I wanted to grab 1 true gem, and make fun of him, but the foolishness is abounds. My favorite so far is: "You ever see 30 grand go by in three hours ????? Watch me tonight!!!.... 5k tip now. >>> just cause I can! Don't believe me just watch" lmaoo
What? I mean if MW19 is a court jester, Britt is the Duke of Dumb.
But he went to Rutgers, so it's cool
In college he essentially quit. In 2010, whether he was legally drunk or not, he was out in the middle of the night during a game week.In 2011 it was reported he was always sleeping in meetings. In 2012 apparently dedicated himself and everyone was proclaiming "pay the man". (Where are you Hate?)He got paid and couldn't care less now.

Shows he is financially irresponsible. When his playing career is over I wonder if he will watch that same clip.On the flipside, didn't Mike Williams play with the injury until he tore the hamstring. It was obvious watching him that he was hurt, but tried to continue to play. He was already getting paid so if he was as he is being portrayed why not protect his interest (health) and make a business decision. The timing of these leaks about players' lack of dedication is awful suspicious. There are reports that the environment was not pleasant under Schiano, more specially players dreaded coming to work. Could Mike Williams been one of those players? It has been documented that Lovie Smith is a respected coach who players like to play for. Heck Carl Nicks might miraculously return to 80-90% of his playing self. Lovie temperament is totally different from Schiano. He will get the best out of players like Mike Williams, Da'Quan Bowers and DeKoda Watson (if re-signed) just to name a few.
this all happened in the tast two months, wasn't he on ir?
I absolutely love the idea of taking Sammy Watkins at # 7 and here are the reasons why.1) He starts out in the slot where Tedford could use his skill set much how DeSean Jackson was used at Cal. One of his strengths is bubble screens and routes that take advantage of his quickness. Quickness in the slot, the Bucs lack. He would be a match up nightmare in the slot. He would be able to take the top off and Mike Williams and Vincent Jackson would both flourish.2) He would be the eventual replacement for Vincent Jackson as the # 1 receiver. Jackson is north of 30 and the Bucs will have several players coming up for extensions (McKoy, AC ETAL) and the savings from his cap number would allow the FO the room it would need to re-sign key players and pursue a few second tier free agents wanting to play for Lovie. Mike Williams would remain as the # 2 post Vincent Jackson.3) He would address the need for a returner. Imagine Watkins and Jeff Demps as returners on the kick off.
Cut him. He is a decent WR but can easily be replaced.

With who? Hakeem Nicks? I am in agreement with the posters that say wait and see how he performs under the new regime.

Can he be replaced with someone at or below $1.8M? It seems silly to cut him with such a low cap hit in 2014. You'd need to draft someone most likely.

No.. Straighten him out and keep it moving.
I think the likelihood of the Licht and Lovie taking Watkins at 7 has gone up quite a bit.I could most definitely see the Bucs moving Mike if Lovie can't get through to him.
Still don't want Watson at #7.....but if we can trade back and gain a 3rd, then maybe we use two of our top 100 picks on WRs. If we could get a 3rd for Mike Will....then that would help tremendously. This WR class is so good and so deep, this would definitely be the time to replace him if it's gonna happen. I love Mike and would hate to see him go, but If we managed to get Allen Robinson and Jarvis Landry....then I think I'd get over it rather quickly.
I agree with ya there, to a degree, but I hear Tedford talk about "speed in space" etc. and all I can think is..."who do we have that can fill that requirement?"Watkins would most definitely fill that element up and then some.A side note...how awesome will it be to (FINALLY) see our team be successful with screenplays? LOL
His rapping, partying, and attending strip clubs do not concern me, especially when he is on IR and can't play. Missing Rehab sessions however is alarming. I understand that the two go may go hand in hand, but if he was making it to his meetings on time would/should you care about what he is doing in his free time and not breaking any laws.
Bring on Sammy Watkins.
DONT TEASE ME LORD
the team really dropped the ball on this one. why put this out there? if you're really trying to release him and don't want him keep you mouth shut and get a draft pick for him.. someone would gave up at least a third for him. god this team sometimes just doesn't get it
