If I am going to compare Winston to any athlete in recent memory one name comes to mind...Allen Iverson. Iverson couldn't be controlled, he couldn't be mentored, he was just Allen Iverson. He had that irrational confidence (arrogance) that allowed him to do things a guy his size shouldn't have been able to do in the NBA. That being said I loved Iverson as many people in my generation did. There is something refreshing to me about an athlete who does it his way, who believes in himself so much, that he disregards the advice of everybody all time greats included, simply because he believes he is above them. Say what you want about Winston but confidence won't ever be a short comming. It's that confidence in my opinion that makes an all time great. See Brady, MJ, Kobe, Ali, Floyd Mayweather, etc...Some of you guys might hate him I get it, but this guy won't lose, he won't be second best, simple because it doesn't jive with what he views. I love these players because they either become an all time great, or they blow up their environment. There are no other options when you carry such arrogance. I'm taking that shot, I'm taking that chance, because an athlete like this doesn't come around but once in a generation. A shooting star of unmatched arroganceWinston as much you hate him will come into our locker room and try to take it over, try to make this his team. If this orginization is behind him, if our guys believe, we may just form the same idienty as our leader. If you ask me a team full of arrogance, playing with a chip on their shoulder, with a strange exaggerated self belief of how good it is, is just what I want. Take a step away from the keyboard, realize football is entertainment, and if anything our potential ride with Winston will be just that. Anybody else tired of being a back page story, constantly being overlooked, not being a story? I want something exciting to watch, and all the other stuff aside, there is no arguing Winston is one of the most exciting polarizing personalities in sport. He may be an asshole, but he's our asshole
