After 2 injury-filled seasons, we are due. One more good draft, and I think we are on our way. I don't necessarily think we will get in the playoffs this year, but we should at worst be serious contenders.
If it weren't for Coach Schiano, we would most likely have lost every game, let alone have any game close. Very few leaders of men could have gone through what he had to endure with Freeman and the personal hate-filled, slanderous media and keep a group of 53 playing hard. It took coach Schiano two years to "clean up" much of the mess he was handed....and Lovie reaps the benefits. The Glazers should have given Coach Schiano year three and not only do I know it, Chris Mortensen knows it, others know it, but it's likely the Glazers know it too.

While I think Schiano was in over his head at the NFL level...I give him credit for a few things. He did trim the fat with some players we needed to rid ourselves of. He helped draft some good players the last couple of years. He did have our guys playing hard long after the season was over.

The problem is the players he got rid of had value and we didn't get anything for them.

Remind me what value Winslow had again? And Price?
You don't discard talent and don't replace properly or at least obtain proper value.
A roster spot was good value.

Hi Mrs Schiano, you might want to move to the Pats board now
I've mentioned this in conversation with friends before, but IMO IF Lovie had NOT been available, I think Schiano would still be here for his 3rd year. Given Lovie's NFL success AND popularity, mixed with the Glazer's distaste for losing, they had to think Lovie was a safer bet than Schiano...
