id certainly draft him late. on second thought, id draft him midrounds. only problem was coke, right?
If I recall it was repeated coke problems along with some anger issues. For it to be a big enough problem to get kicked off a "football factory" kind of team, it must have been bad. IMHO Oregon is not going to dismiss their NFL bound TE for a problem they feel they can handle internally.
Pretty sure he quit.

Now that you mention it, I think you are right. He quit after an arrest (or two?) and was facing some level of suspension. Either way, red flags galore but thats fine with me for a late round pick.
http://www.goducks.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=209277864 As far as I know he was only suspended for one game while at Oregon, and that was supposedly because he was sick and had not practiced enough to meet the qualifications to suit up on game day....or at least that was the story reported. I don't believe he had any arrests or other problems while at Oregon. He left on good terms and it was unexpected and strange, so who knows what was really going on. A few days after he quit his license was suspended because he has three unpaid tickets (two speeding and a seatbelt violation). I don't think that would have caused him to be suspended, or to have quit, but who knows. Then he was spotted snorting cocaine in his car. When confronted by the police he admitted to having voke and doing coke and let them search his apartment. (idiot) He was arrested. That's all the details I know of his timeline.

Could very well be that...I dont know enough about the time line of the events. Would be interested in knowing the truth about why he walked away from his team during the season.
I'd definitely take him in the 4th or 5th
Yeah, definitely in the 6th. Maybe even in the 5th depending on who is on the board. I wouldn't pass up Dri Archer for him, who I think could be Lovie's next great return specialist.
