As we learned with freeman numbers can be deceiving. Glennon doesn't pass the eye test. He looks frantic, slow throwing motion, can't move out of the pocket, will check down or throw it away at the slightest pressure. We better have the best oline in the nfl if we roll with glennon and hope to win.
same feeling i had about Freeman
Not reading this whole thread but Matt Ryan was a good bit better as a rookie than Glennon was.

I agree but with a way better team and waayyyyyy better coaching.

Definitely a better head coach, but Ryan's offensive coordinator at the time has been out of football for a year and counting now and the defense ranked #24 in total yards. It wasn't all peaches and cream. Many people predicted Atlanta would be the worst team in the NFL in 2008 and take years to recover from the Michael Vick situation.

Didn't they bring in Micheal Turner that year? That 2008 falcon team was a good team.
Freeman did it in 2010 with Benn, Stroughter, Briscoe, and an 73 year old Cadillac.....but poor Glennon gets all the excuses he needs. Lol.
Would Freeman have done that against this tough of a schedule? You also conveniently leave out the 1000 yard rusher from that season, Legarette Blount. Dude, you are the most transparent poster on this board. I think you care more about tooting your horn than this football team.
Martin, James, and Rainey combined for over 1350 yards rushing this year.....how is it somehow more of an advantage that Blount had 1007 rushing yards by himself? It's not. You are reaching and transparent. As far as schedule, we beat bad to average teams like the Rams, Cardinals, Bengals, Panthers, 49ers, and Seahawks in 2010.....but this year we didn't. We lost to bad and average teams like the Cardinals, Falcons, and Rams. We also lost to a 2-3 Eagles team when they were struggling early on. In the four games we did actually, the teams were just as bad as what we faced in 2010 and our defense had 15 takeaways in those four games. Hell, in the Bills game Glennon had 90 yards passing the entire game and 2 interceptions. We won cause our defense caused 5 turnovers and Rainey started the game with a 90 yard TD run. Glennon sucked.Your excuses hold no water. He struggled because he is nothing special. He is the same average QB he was in college. He can make great throws when he has perfect protection and everything goes right but as soon as something goes wrong he folds like $2 lawnchair.
And Caddy had another 800 yds from scrimmage along with Blount. Dude, please tell me you're not comparing the 2010 schedule to the 2013. Are you that stupid? A "bad" Cardinals team? The same team that beat Seattle in Seattle, and finished 10-6. The Sam record you are using to highlight Freeman and discount Glennon? Wow!
We beat em 24-9 and then lost 10-13 that year. They started 4-3 and Ryan was shaky....but they finished 7-2 and Ryan should much improvement. The exact opposite of Glennon. He started out ok and got worse and worse instead.

Of course they ended up being a good team, mostly because of Ryan. If you make the playoffs with the #24 ranked defense, chances are you got good play out of your QB.

We went into Seattle in 2010 and destroyed the Seahawks.....the same Seahawks that won their division that year and then beat the Saints in the Playoffs. We also beat the 11-5 Saints. We also went toe to toe with the 12-4 Ravens and lost 10-17.We also played two of the greatest Buccaneers games in recent history vs the 13-3 Falcons, losing both at the very end by less than a touchdown. Truth is, we played horrible twice that year. Once vs the Steelers and once vs the Saints. Other than that we played damn good football in 2010. Haters like you try to twist it, but no matter how much you hate Raheem and Freeman, you can't take away that season. It was the best season we've had since 2005 and a garbage can QB like Freeman showed 100x more than Glennon ever did this year. You keep rooting for Chris Simms 2.0 and I'll keep debunking you excuses and lies. ;)

How do you plan to do that when you're making up lies yourself."All Pro Tim Wright".... What a joke!
By the way Hayseed, in 2010 we had 1637 yards rushing from our RBs. This year we had 1612. How is that different again? Did that 25 yard difference provide some huge advantage for Freeman? Lol.

Just keep on believing that 2010 and 2013 were the same scenarios. Geez.

Nope but going up all of those back up QBs that year did.
OK nobody has pointed out the pink gorilla in the room so I will- 2010 was not Freeman's rookie year.
Nobody is going to confuse Freeman with a franchis QB now, but at one point most of us thought he was.
