The premise of this thread is just to point out that Jason Licht has seemingly drafted many underclassmen, especially in the first round with Mike Evans and Jameis Winston, but what's even more interesting about both Evans and Winston is the fact that they were even younger than most prospects. Evans was only 20 years old at the time of the draft and Jameis had just barely turned 21 when we drafted him. Also, Kwon Alexander was just 20 years old last year as well. ASJ was barely 21 when he was drafted, and the same holds true for Donovan Smith and Ali Marpet, all were only 21 years old or younger.I'm not sure if this is something Licht specifically looks at, but if it is, I actually really like that strategy. It seems that he likes to draft the younger underclassmen that have even more room to grow into their bodies and talent level - a greater "boom" chance if you will. So, looking at the 2016 Draft, I have compiled a list of some of the young underclassmen that I like, ages 20 to 21 to try and get an idea of who these boomers might be (in no particular order):1.) Andrew Billings, DT - 20 yo2.) Jack Conklin, OT - 203.) Von Bell, S - 214.) Michael Thomas, WR - 215.) Eli Apple, CB - 206.) Vernon Hargreaves III, CB - 207.) Hunter Henry, TE - 218.) Kamalei Correa, Edge - 20 - 21* (*Wiki doesn't have his b-day, just year of birth)9.) Germain Ifedi, OL - 2110.) Joey Bosa, Edge - 2011.) Artie Burns, CB - 2012.) Kendall Fuller, CB - 2113.) Noah Spence, Edge - 21 - 22* (*same situation as Correa)14.) Shaq Lawson, Edge - 2115.) Corey Coleman, WR - 2116.) Yannick Ngakoue, Edge - 20 - 21* (*same as Correa and Spence)EDIT: 17.) Sheldon Rankins, DT - 21So, after looking at this (non-comprehensive) list of players that I like under the age of 22, we kind of get an idea of who we may give extra consideration to in rounds 1 and 2...If I had to choose a realistic 1st and 2nd rounder from this list, I'd probably take...1.) Sheldon Rankins or Jack Conklin (hopefully with a trade-back) and2.) Kamalei CorreaThat wouldn't totally thrill me to be honest, but I could live with it, plus you never know how these young'ns may improve.
