Read-Option: Where To Play?

I feel like there has been a lot of criticism of the Buccaneers offensive line over the last couple of years…

Okay, maybe I don’t have to add the “I feel like” part, there definitely has been.

From the regularly schedule Donovan Smith outbursts to the left guard debacle that was last season to the right guard uncertainty of J.R. Sweezy, Bucs fans have been all over the place with their complaints and wishes for a new front five.

I feel like I need to knock on every piece of wood I have in my house when I type this, but it really does seem like the Bucs have the potential to have a solid five players in their lineup along the offensive line going into 2018. Smith should have his best year coming upas a left tackle, Demar Dotson was one of the best right tackles in the league last year, Marpet is moving back to his natural guard spot and the team brought in one of the more coveted free agents in Ryan Jensen.

The question is, who plays right guard? Sweezy? Benenoch? Cappa?

Who do you realistically think it will be and who do you hope it will be? Are those two players the same, or are they different?

And pertaining to the first page of the Cover 3, what did you think of Licht’s maneuvers in the 2018 NFL Draft? Has he done enough in the last two drafts and in the way he’s handled them to make up for some of the draft mistakes earlier in his general manager career?

Let’s hear some thoughts on Licht and who you think the Bucs front five will be on offense and whether or not you think that front five will be enough to compete in a tough schedule.
