READ OPTION: PICK-4

And now we’ve reached the part of the column where I turn it over to you… the readers (Bane voice).

I think that the possibility of the Buccaneers drafting a safety in the first round is not only real, but it may even be the primary gameplan – or at least a defensive back.

Taking into account where you’d realistically get each of these four players and the contract values that each of them would be signing relative to their spot, which would you prefer the Buccaneers choose?

To lay out some scenarios, let’s say that in order to get Adams or Hooker the team would have to trade up anywhere from picks 8-12, which would be between $17,169,314 and $13,799,018.

They could pick Budda Baker at No. 19 at the $11,052,856 estimated value, or they could trade back and take Melifonwu in the late 20’s for anything between $10-8.5 million dollars.

It’s not just the picking of the player that matters. The equation of the NFL Draft also has to do with how a team acquires them, and what kind of money they’ll be signing for.

With all that in mind, which safety would you most want to see in red and pewter tin 2017?
