Read-Option: Wins Or Losses?

This is a question I may get some crap for, but I’m going to ask it because I’m curious.

For the rest of 2018, are you rooting for the Bucs to win or lose?

Seems like a silly question, right? But it’s not.

At 3-7, the Bucs are tied for being the third-worst team in the NFC. The Rams and Saints already have the top two seeds likely wrapped up, both with only one loss this year. The Bears at 7-3 have a strong lead on their division, and the Redskins still lead the NFC East at 6-3. Next, you have the Panthers and 6-4, the Cowboys at 5-5, the Seahawks at 5-4 and the Vikings at 5-4-1. For the Bucs to make it to the playoffs, they will surely have to both win out and likely get help even with a 9-7 finish. Though they aren’t mathematically eliminated, it would be a stretch to think the Bucs can make it to the postseason at this point.

On the other hand, being 3-7 means they’re currently picking No. 7 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft, and they only trail the team currently picking No. 1 by one game. The Bucs likely won’t be able to get the No. 1 overall pick due to their strength of schedule, but if they lose most or all of their remaining games, they can likely get to the No. 3 or 4 overall pick. The outcome of this week’s game against the 2-8 San Francisco 49ers could go a long way in determining what happens.

Which scenario you rooting for – try to win ’em all or lose ’em all at this point?
