Will DeSean Jackson be back in red and pewter in 2019?

That has been the debate since the 2018 season ended, and at that time most felt there was little chance he would return. But new head coach Bruce Arians has stated more than once that he would like to see Jackson in Tampa in 2019. And GM Jason Licht told reporters in Indianapolis this past week that he too would like Jackson to return to Tampa Bay.

On ESPN’s First Take this week, host Stephen A. Smith said he thinks the Bucs should trade Jackson to the Steelers for embattled receiver Antonio Brown. Take a look at the video and see the argument that Smith made, and share your thoughts in the comment section.

It’s a nice thought to put on a nationally televised sports show and will definitely raise some eyebrows as a ” makes sense on paper” move… But No.. I don’t think the Bucs want to lose any draft capital nor pick up Browns contract… Especially with us keeping McCoy and trying to convince Hump and Kwon to stay… We have Godwin as well who is poised for a breakout year…( I say all of this…but if Brown goes to a NFC south opponent, I’ll lose my cool LOL)

Are you saying you would rather have Adam Humphries over Antonio Brown?

Again, talks of A.B coming to the bucs is ridiculous..we have good receivers whose egos aren’t too big.

PR is hurting their own credibility by even posting this. Stephen A Smith knows nothing about sports.

No, Stephen A. knows basketball. He needs to keep his damn mouth shut when it comes to ANYTHING else. Though, he does sound pretty moronic when talking hoops sometimes, too

SI’s Peter King said something very similar a week ago in his MMQB article. I’m sure most readers on here think he’s an asshat too, but national media keeps connecting these dots.

Never happen. His contract is for 39 million for 3 more years and he was less productive than Jackson last year with Big Ben in the same offense they’ve ran forever.

Hard PASS.

I disagree with a good amount of your posts…. This one gets a BIG thumbs up from me. The only way I think the Bucs would be wise in a trade for Brown is Jackson straight up and the Steelers eat half his contract(pretty sure that’s not allowed by NFL’s current CBA)

Hes always talking nonsense. One douchbag trouble maker diva for another? No thanks. Steelers have so many divas.

Steelers laugh and hang up, at DJax for AB offer.

I’d do this in a HEARTBEAT… time for us to start Making some different type moves to get us where we want and need to go Bucs Get: Antonio Brown Steelers Get: DJax 2019 6th and 2020 5th —- Remember when Eagles already were good at RB with Blount and Sproles and the still go out and trade for Jay Ajai…what was result… a SUPERBOWL Ring. or more recent Last Year’s Rams: Loaded on DLine still add Suh, Taleb, Peters..what was result SUPERBOWL(appearance) we know with Bruce you go to WIN THE BIH (Put a RING on it) Tired of… Read more »

I say go get Bell and Brown! Are they cancer in the locker room? Maybe? But we now have a cancer beater in Arians, so go get these guys and lets see what happens! I agree with BucTime, it’s time the Bucs start changing their ways and do something different. Something has to change other than the head coach every few years. It’s been like a washing machine around here for quit some time, wash, rinse, and repeat…

fredster, very concise and straight to the point. Well said, sir.
If Smith really said the Bugs had the No. 1 rushing attack, it really does show what an ill informed dolt he is.
I listen to nothing that comes out of a racists mouth. Once he accused the Bugs organization of being racists because they fired the idiot Lovie Smith, I was completely done with him.
Moron.

I’m sure Smith meant to say passing attack.

His contract is too big and the Steelers would take a $10-million salary from DeShaun while absorbing AB’s $21-million. Not gonna happen.

I had thought the same thing….I’d rather have AB play for us than go to someone like Panthers/Ain’ts. If DJ don’t wanna be here and AB don’t wanna be in Pitt…make it happen one for one swap. We gotta take a chance on some of these guys who can make a difference. I’m tired of having guys on the team that aren’t cutting the mustard…we need to take a chance like the Rams did so we can be in the big dance again!!!!!
