PewterReport.com’s Andrew Scavelli will be joining News Channel 8’s Dan Lucas every Tuesday night on the 11 p.m. newscast to keep you up to date on the latest fantasy football news and discuss potential players to target for that week’s matchups.
Which quarterback owned in less than 50 percent of leagues has put up solid fantasy production as of late and has a favorable matchup this week? What AFC South running back that scores in bunches is on a hot streak? Which wide receiver has a chance to fill the void of his injured teammate? What tight end should continue to see a big increase in targets going forward? Which AFC North defense will have a great opportunity to put up fantasy points this week? Watch week 11’s Fantasy Football Forecast to find out!
Each week Scavelli will also be answering your fantasy football questions submitted to the comments section of our Fantasy Mailbox, which will be posted on Pewter Report’s official Instagram account @pewterreport every Monday afternoon. Below are the questions that were asked in our mailbox for this week’s edition of the FANTASY MAILBAG.
Question: Redskins defense this week?
Answer: Washington’s defense had a huge fantasy day against the Buccaneers last Sunday, holding one of the league’s most potent offenses to only three points while recording a pair of sacks, interceptions and fumble recoveries. In fact, in three out of the last four weeks the Redskins put up at least 15 fantasy points so they’ve proved to be a reliable play. This week Washington will go up against Houston’s offense that’s in the middle of the pack when it comes to giving up fantasy points, but the Texans have been a lot more explosive on that side of the ball recently and also had two weeks to prepare for this game. This week I have Washington just outside of my top 10 defenses so they’re not an elite option but one worth considering if you can’t find a defense with a more favorable matchup to stream.
