TOP 20 TE RANKINGS: WEEK 1
O.J. Howard (14)
With the Bucs fielding one of the most talented tight end groups in the league that features both O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate, it’s hard to say which player will be the more consistent fantasy option on a weekly basis going into the season. Last year Howard and Brate both put up solid numbers but were challenging plays because their role in the game plan changed weekly. Howard’s athleticism and strong training camp gives him a little more upside and with the potential to explode with a top five performance any week, he has the higher ceiling in Tampa Bay’s tight end group. The Saints defense gave up 69 catches for 679 yards and six touchdowns to tight ends last year and with Ryan Fitzpatrick favoring Howard in the preseason, the second-year pro has the chance to do some damage in the Bayou this week and should come away with at least five points for his fantasy owners.
