Pewter Report debuted a new season-long weekend feature last season called Fifth Down that showcased some of the Bucs players each week to reveal what they are like off of the football field. We decided to bring it back for 2017 and this week in The Fifth Down we spoke with with fullback Alan Cross.
The Fifth Down is sponsored by Ford’s Garage.
Question: Who has been the toughest player you’ve faced in the NFL or college?
Answer: “Toughest NFL opponent I would have to say Von Miller. He was probably one of the fastest guys I’ve ever had to go up against. I wouldn’t say fast. More like quick. I would have to say him. Hard to square up and hit.”

Bucs DT Gerald McCoy
Question: If stranded on a deserted island with a teammate, who would it be?
Answer: “I’d have to say either Cam (Brate) or Gerald (McCoy). Cam is just always a good guy to get a laugh from. It’s easy to make him laugh. Gerald just because we could always talk about comic books or there would always be something fun to talk about. I’m not a comic book guy, but I like listening to people that are really into it talk about it.”
Question: Who is your celebrity crush?
Answer:“Jennifer Aniston off of Friends. She’s just hot man, I don’t know. On Friends for sure. She seems like a funny girl. She’s hot.”
Question: Which deceased person would you like to bring back to have dinner with?
Answer: “I would say Dale Earnhardt. I would bring him back just to talk about old times and how racing used to be back in the day and how he got to where he did.”
Question: What is the worst song that you could possibly get stuck in your head?
Answer: “Any Justin Bieber song. If I had to pick, probably that ‘Baby’ one. It’s like, ‘Baby, baby, baby.’”
