The Bucs confirmed on Sunday that left guard Ali Marpet has been ruled out for Tampa Bay’s Monday Night Football match-up against the Los Angeles Rams, set to miss his third consecutive game after suffering a concussion in Week 8.

In Marpet’s place, the Bucs will once again deploy veteran A.Q. Shipley at center while moving Ryan Jensen to left guard, the same lineup Tampa Bay rolled out in their victory over Carolina in Week 10.

Ali, hope you get better soon! Let’s go Shipley and Jensen we need a stellar game against the Rams D line!

Wonder if fans on a rival board posted ” when he comes back, aim for his head” would the post get at least 11 thumbs up like the pathetic fans on the bucs board did when we were talking about Drew Brees? This is why I rarely post here anymore.

Marpet’s career may be over. This injury shouldn’t hang around this long. Something else might be wrong. No sport is worth risking your future over.

I didn’t see that, I will say the Aint’s and their “Hit List” garbage are lucky to still even be a team. They intentionally tried to hurt everyone for years. Hard to feel any sympathy.

Hey, if you are worried about what Buc fans say about Brees, and his injuries you’re on the wrong site! You rarely post here anymore, maybe you shouldn’t post at all. I could give a rats ass if Bree’s ribs popped out his head!!

Classless, as usual. Wonder if your man enough to look Drew Bree’s Wife and three sons in the eye and repeat that? We are talking about a GAME, not someones long term health in the future. To wish ill on any player is classless at best and malicious at worst. Look in the mirror, are you proud of what you see? How about all the other bucs “fans” who hope someone is permanently injured because of a game? Where is your humanity and compassion? Lacking? Sad.

Damn… I really hope Shipley and Jensen can hold it down the next week or two. Really could have used Marpet, but definitely don’t wanna rush him back and lose him for the year. We hopefully just need to make it through the next 2 weeks and then after the bye he should have no problem bein back. Hope he feels better, he’s gotta be pissed.

I think we will be fine with Jensen tonight.

Shipley and Jensen combo worked well last week but Panthers d line isn’t as good as Rams. Should be ok but will have to play and communicate well again. Go Bucs!

Hopefully this doesn’t turn into another Mitch Unrein situation. Get well soon Ali!

For some reason, I am sensing the Beast..Mr. Donald will feast! We had better have an answer for him. People forget the Rams defense is on par with ours..maybe even better. GO BUCS

But aren’t the Rams missing a starting OL as well? Our defense is pretty formidable too! I like our chances even with Ali out. If Shipley can hold his lane, then I know my boy Jensen will ball. If Bucs have a good game plan and can play error free football. Then I like our chances for victory. All the talk has been about can Bucs handle Donald… well I’m wondering if the Rams OL is ready for the unleashing of the hounds on their azz? We have a pretty good “D” as well. If they play sideline to sideline… Read more »

People forget? All I hear about lately is how great the Rams defense is. National pundits talk about their defense 24/7. This isn’t some under the radar, well kept secret. You must not watch a lot of nfl network. And to your comment. No. They are not better defensively. Here’s some of the incredibly tough opponents the Rams have faced so far. Eagles, Giants, Redskins, 49ers, Bears, and Dolphins. That’s about as easy as it gets from an offensive schedule. Only 2 tough matchups they’ve had so far, were Dallas week 1, and Seattle last week. We’ve only faced 3… Read more »

Hopefully this is a precautionary thing and not a sign of a serious issue. Jensen and Shipley will play well in his stead as long as we’re not taking deep shots all night

All love to Marpet and his family. Three missed games is not a good sign.

Really sick of this cat and mouse BS.Wish this organization would give us some damn details on this injury and let us know what is really going on with Marpet. So sick of getting my bubble being burst each week with more bad news but not really knowing anything.

Is that 3 games now? This must be much more serious than originally thought. This is the one guy who we cannot afford to lose.

Unfortunately Ali’s symptoms could last 3 mnths to a year. He may also have a neck injury causing tension headaches.

The Bucs are not going to lose this game because of a guard. Speedy recovery to Ali Marpet but let’s be real here, this game will be decided because of coaching & execution. Talent wise Bucs have the better team but coaching is where this battle will be won or lost. Mcvay a slick new innovative play caller will match wits with Bowles fast, unpredictable, high flying defense but The real rub is can a BA/BL offense move the ball against a rookie d coordinator in Brandon Staley. On paper the match-up favors the Bucs but the BA/BL pairing has… Read more »

Boy. I sure hope marpet is okay.

That being said Aaron Donald could be a force this week. When you don’t have your best offensive lineman and you gotta go against the reigning defensive player of the year in his prime? Brady could be getting the ball out to brown and Godwin a lot on quick slants and screens
