No. 11 Miami Dolphins (6-10)
The Pick: Lamar Jackson, QB, Louisville
Well, everyone, thanks for reading! I’m sure this is where I lost you — let me explain.
I didn’t believe quarterback Ryan Tannehill was ever the guy to really get it done in Miami. He’s fine, I think, but now you throw in a torn ACL into the mix from 2017. If this team doesn’t shake things up quick, they’re going to lose Jarvis Landr and they already lost Jay Ajayi.
Lamar Jackson gives this Dolphins offense, and head coach Adam Gase, a jump start on a restart that might not make things as severe. Gase was involved in the Broncos offense when Tebow was there. He helped build Peyton Manning’s incredible 2013 season and he made things work with Jay Cutler in Chicago.
The Dolphins need something or they’re going to hit the reset button real hard in the next year or two. Lamar could be good enough to save it from happening.
