So, in this case, the plan worked out pretty well for Cleveland going with Barkley No. 1, as they now still have both Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold to choose from.

I have them going Darnold, but it really is just a preference of who they see as the better fit. Darnold is one of the youngest players in this draft class, and with the right coaching, you’re talking about a young, very talented franchise-type quarterback who can give you a chance to win every Sunday. But, make no mistake, he still has things he has to work on. Form, throwing motion and tendencies need to be cleaned up. He had far too many passes that should have been intercepted in 2017 that don’t show up on the stat sheet because of those things.
