The Pick: DE, Myles Garrett

Pro Day Result: Texas A&M

There has been certain rumblings of the Browns eyeing a quarterback at No. 1, as the team picking at the top of the draft would usually prefer. However, after Garrett’s fantastic showing at the NFL Scouting Combine and his equally as impressive Pro Day results, there is just no quarterback – or other player in this class – that can compete with the type of player the Browns would be getting with Garrett.

Garrett could truly be a generational type of talent if he sures up some of his technique and gets the most out of that alien-like athletic potential he has. Even though the team does have Emmanuel Ogbah and Jamie Collins, Garrett is the pick at No.1, and the Browns will have to get creative with their other picks if they want to snag one of the top quarterbacks (which they do later in this mock).
