The Pick: QB, Patrick Mahomes

Pro Day Result: Texas Tech

This seems like it might be another dream scenario for the Cardinals. Realistically, they could be looking at Patrick Mahomes or Haason Reddick at pick No. 13, and be totally justified if they do so. Instead, they trade back, get a few extra picks out of it from Denver and get to chose between the same two prospects seven spot later.

I think it makes too much sense for head coach Bruce Arians to get his hands on Mahomes while Carson Palmer is still there. Though defense might be the more pressing need as of next year, making sure your team has a smooth transition at quarterback is often worth more than quick fixes.
