Their Pick: DL, Solomon Thomas

For the past month or so we’ve heard reports from the Niners be all over the place. With new general manager John Lynch at the helm, we don’t have a history of picks or preferences to go back on to help us out with this one. San Francisco needs a quarterback, but the roster is certainly depleted at other areas as well.

Some have pegged Ohio State’s Marshon Lattimore at this spot, but that would be the first time a cornerback would have ever gone in the top two in NFL Draft history. Others have mocked them Jamal Adams or Malik Hooker, who are good prospects, but in terms of contract value for the positions they play, would be already one of the best paid safeties in the NFL, which questions worth of where they were selected.

Instead, I believe it makes more sense for them to get their hands on one of the top defensive linemen with the most upside, Solomon Thomas, and hoping they get everything out of him as an EDGE or interior lineman.
