Pewter Power Rankings is a weekly feature compiled by PewterReport.com’s Fantasy Football Analyst Andrew Scavelli every Tuesday during the regular season. Each week Scavelli will rank the league’s teams from best to worst based on their performance and outlook going forward at that point of the season, with a focus on the Buccaneers.

CURRENT BUCCANEERS RANKING: 25 (-3)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The NFL is a week-to-week business, as Buccaneers head coach Dirk Koetter would remind you. With that said, in Tampa Bay’s last seven weeks of work the team has only managed to produce a 1-6 record. The magical 2-0 start this franchise got off to now seems like ages ago and the team itself feels very different. When asked about that in the locker room on Sunday, defensive tackle Gerald McCoy even said that this is not the same Bucs team.

So what happened? That is the answer every player and coach has been searching for and they still don’t have one. Right now this ship appears to be lost at sea and in search of a lifeline. Fortunately for Tampa Bay, they have the chance to navigate their way out of rough waters with two winnable games on the horizon against the Giants and 49ers, who have a combined 4-15 record. But if the Bucs fail to do so they will continue to sink to the bottom of the power rankings and will need to begin their search for new captains to help steer this ship in the right direction.
