Mike Freeman, an NFL columnist for Bleacher Report, reported on Friday that several front-office sources had informed him that the Titans and Bucs are expected to “reset their sights” at quarterback, possibly spelling an end to Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota’s tenure with the teams that drafted them first and second overall in 2015.

Winston’s potential as a franchise quarterback, now more than ever in his fifth year, has come under scrutiny following a five-interception, six-turnover game against the Carolina Panthers in Week 6, while things have hit a similar spiral for Mariota in Tennessee.
Also in Week 6, Mariota himself was benched in favor of backup quarterback Ryan Tannehill en route to a 16-0 shutout at the hands of the now 2-5 Denver Broncos.
