After wide receiver Mike Evans suffered a knee injury against the Atlanta Falcons, forcing the veteran pass-catcher to leave the game in the first quarter, Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer reported that Evans’ MRI showed no ligament damage and that the Bucs are cautiously optimistic that he could play in the first round of the playoffs for Tampa Bay.
The report comes after Bruce Arians’ gave a relatively encouraging update in his post-game press conference on Sunday.
“The turf was really slick in the end zones and it was just a freaky thing,” Arians said about Evans’ injury. “Knock on wood, we don’t think there’s any serious damage. We’ll know more in the next 24 hours.”
Pewter Report will continue to update this story as more information is made available.
