According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the NFL has fined the New Orleans Saints $500,000 and stripped the franchise of a seventh round selection in the 2021 NFL Draft after the team posted several videos of mask-less players celebrating in the locker room following their 38-3 victory over the Bucs in Week 9.

The breach of protocol has made the Saints repeat offenders, after head coach Sean Payton was fined $100,000 and the team $250,000 when Payton failed to wear a mask in Week 2 against Las Vegas.
The loss of their seventh round pick leaves New Orleans with just four current selections in the 2021 NFL Draft, including first, second, fourth and sixth round picks. The Saints are currently in the driver’s seat for their fourth consecutive division title, with a 1.5-game lead on the Bucs heading into Week 12.
