The Bucs announced on Saturday that the team has activated inside linebacker Jack Cichy from the injured reserve, replacing center A.Q. Shipley after a neck injury suffered against Los Angeles in Week 11.

After finishing both the 2018 and 2019 seasons on the injured reserve, Cichy once again found himself out of action after suffering a hamstring injury in the Bucs’ loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 5.

Now back, Cichy will join Chapelle Russell and Kevin Minter on the depth chart behind starting linebackers Devin White and Lavonte David. All 86 of Cichy’s snaps this season have come on special teams.

In addition to Cichy’s return, Tampa Bay has elevated cornerback Herb Miller and offensive guard John Molchon from the practice squad for the Bucs’ Week 12 match-up with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Good to have Cichy back. Now if only he can stay healthy for an entire season!

I’m sure he would like nothing more

Can we please activate Khalil Davis to see if he can give us a better inside pass rush. Please, please.

I too would like to see Davis get a few snaps. It would be wise to get him some playing time next to a vet like Suh while we still have him. We have no pass rush right now, is Davis worse then nothing?

From my perspective the defense has really declined since Vita Vea got injured. “Nacho” has a cool nickname and is a friend to Pewter Report, but the guy is a mediocre player at best. I know Davis has had a foot injury. If it’s healed enough to play, give the youngster a shot.

Great news. A hard hitting LB who gets to the ball carrier and lays on the wood. It’s nice to see him back.
