As speculation has run rampant following Tom Brady’s farewell message to New England, potential landing spots for the six-time Super Bowl champion have started to narrow with the Titans re-signing Ryan Tannehill, the Colts adding Phillip Rivers and the Chargers seemingly falling out of contention on Tuesday afternoon.
Numerous rumors connected Brady the Bucs after the league’s legal tampering window opened on Monday, following their reported “aggressive pitch” for the 42-year-old quarterback, and now ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport are both reporting that Tampa Bay is the expected landing spot despite no specific timetable on an announcement.
Tampa Bay’s reported offer is expected to be worth around $30 million per year, per Rapoport, and Brady can officially sign with the Bucs no sooner than the beginning of the new league year on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
With the #Chargers out of the running, the #Bucs offer to QB Tom Brady is believed to be roughly $30M per year. They are the only known team to make an offer. Tampa Bay has been confident all day and for good reason. As we wait Tom Brady’s officials announcement, all eyes on TB.
