FAB 5. SR’s Buc Shots
• CHEAH COMES UP WITH A KEY BUCS STAT: Bucs fan and PewterReport.com contributor Steven Cheah had a great stat on Twitter that really caught my eye. Check it out below – in addition to rookie safety Antoine Winfield, Jr.’s big hit on Packers QB Aaron Rodgers. And make sure you tune into Cheah and former NFL offensive lineman Willie Colon on the Going Deep Podcast on Barstool Sports.
ICYMI: Before his hit, Aaron Rodgers was 12/16 for 118 yards 0 TDs and 0 INTs vs. Tampa Bay. After this hit he went 4/19 for 42 yards 0 TDs and 2 INTs.

• BUCS’ NEAR-PERFECT WIN OVER PACKERS WAS ONE FOR THE AGES: NFL Network’s Jeff Darlington comes up with a great stat of his own to document how brilliant the Bucs’ 38-10 win over the Packers was.
Just how good is Tampa Bay’s defense playing right now? The Bucs are only the 2nd team in the last 20 seasons to have 10+ takeaways, 20+ sacks and allow fewer than 70 rush YPG in their first 6 games. Only other team to do so? The 2008 Super Bowl-winning Steelers.

• SMITH HAS CRUSHING BLOCK AGAINST GREEN BAY: Buccaneers left tackle Donovan Smith has received his share of criticism at times this year, but it’s only fair to point out when he plays well, too. In addition to not surrendering a sack or being flagged for a penalty, Smith had an absolutely amazing block against the Packers on a pulling run play.

• EVEN BETTER DAYS AHEAD FOR THE BUCS? The Athletic’s Greg Auman analyzed the Bucs’ remaining schedule for the 2020 season in terms of opponents’ records. Tampa Bay should be favored in many of these games, especially in December against 1-5 Minnesota, 2-3 Detroit and 1-5 Atlanta, which plays Tampa Bay twice.
How the Bucs’ 2020 schedule breaks down, by the combined record of their opponents:
First six (4-2 record): 18-14
Next six: 18-15
Last four: 5-18— Greg Auman (@gregauman) October 19, 2020
