With the NFL 2020 season already, there is lots of excitement in the air on how things will pan out. Many NFL fans and pundits are eager to see how the season unfolds amidst the Covid-19 pandemic that has taken away the electric atmosphere. Among the topics gathering momentum as the new season takes center stage are the players to watch. Many are predicting that the likes of Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans will be among the players to rock this season.

Let’s take a look at some of the names projected to light up the 2020 NFL season.

Bucs WR Mike Evans
Mike Evans is undoubtedly one of the hottest wide receivers in the NFL worth waging for if you are a fan of sports betting. At the age of 27, the Buccaneers wide receiver has smashed records to join some of the elite players in history with his statistics. In his first six NFL seasons, Mike Evans has consecutively hit the 1,000 receiving yard mark. This makes him one of the only two players to have achieved that in the history of the NFL.  Experts project a bright 2020 season for the Buccaneers wide receiver. They expect him to make 77 catches, 1,171 yards and at least 9 TDs.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes
Aged just 24, Patrick Mahomes has been a shining light for the Chiefs. The young quarterback has thrived in his role and is no brainer why he dominated plenty of stats the previous season. As of date, he has played a total of 36 games in his professional NFL career including the postseason. In all those outings, he has never posted a Total QBR of below 50 in any game, nor lost by a margin of more than a score. This Total QBR record is historic since the calculation was effected in 2006. He is one of the most paid NFL players and experts project him to register 4,477 passing yards, 33 TDs, and 10 INTs (with 281 rushing yards) in the 2020 season.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson
Lamar Jackson is a complete NFL star, who has established himself as one of the hottest quarterbacks in the league. His speed and athleticism, passing skills, and his winning mentality make him an all-round NFL player. In the 2019 season, Jackson had a career-high 36 touchdown passes to lead the league. He became the second player to unanimously win the NFL MVP award. As if his 1,206 rushing yards were not enough, Lamar Jackson posted a 91.0 Total QBR. This is the highest number in the past four seasons in the NFL. All indication shows that Jackson will rock the 2020 season.

Rams DT Aaron Donald
Aaron Donald, the two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, is raring to go in the NFL 2020 season. He is now heading for his seventh season in the NFL at the age of 29, but he is more confident than ever to hit the skies this season. In the last three seasons, he has registered the first pressure on 175 plays. His hard work and confidence will surely get him lighting the 2020 NFL season.

Seahawks QB Russell Wilson
The Seahawks quarterback recorded 22 completions that spanned 25 or more yards beyond the line of scrimmage last year. Since his rookie season back in 2012, he has since registered the highest number of deep ball completions than anyone else at 139. Seattle’s wide receivers complement the 31-year-old deep ball throwing ability.  Perhaps his durability and positive trajectory wins him an NFL MVP and puts him at a good course for a scintillating performance in the 2020 season. It will be exciting to see how the NFL star performs given the different conditions brought by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins
The Cardinals wide receiver has done remarkably well since his debut in the 2013 season. Only two players have bettered him statistically. However, the 28-year-old is not showing any season signs of slowing down unlike the two receivers ahead of him. He registered a total of 1,165 receiving yards the previous season and another 208 yards in the playoffs. Besides, he can play both inside and outside and therefore is a complete threat to the opposition from anywhere on the field. His talent is unquestionable and he is one of those wide receivers to watch in 2020.

Saints WR Michael Thomas
Michael Thomas’ season has started with an ankle injury but we expect that he will bounce up and running once fit. The Saints have already missed the services of the WR who racked up an impressive 149 catches last season. Expect another impressive season from the three-time Pro Bowler.

The list of NFL players who are expected to rock the 2020 season is certainly longer. Only time will tell who will live up to the expectations this season.
