Ronde Barber and John Lynch were instrumental parts of the Bucs’ legendary, Super Bowl winning defense and once again find themselves as semi-finalists for Hall of Fame induction.

This will be Barber’s third year as a semifinalist and Lynch’s seventh.

Barber spent all 16 seasons of his career with the Buccaneers and totaled 47 interceptions, 166 passes defended and scored 12 defensive touchdowns.

Barber still holds the NFL record for most consecutive starts as a defensive back with 215 and he’s the only player in NFL history to rack up 45+ interceptions and 25+ sacks.

Lynch spent 11 of his 15 seasons with the Bucs, spending his last four in Denver and amassed 1,051 total tackles in his career with 16 forced fumbles and 26 interceptions.

The field of semifinalists will eventually be cut down to 18 finalists and the 46-person selection committee will hold a vote the day before the Super Bowl to determine the 2019 Hall of Fame class.
