DeSean Jackson – joined by former teammate, Michael Vick – appeared on the Simms and Lefkoe podcast on Wednesday, a Barstool Sports podcast hosted by Chris Simms and Adam Lefkoe.

The two discussed an array of topics, from their days together in Philadelphia to the players they grew up idolizing, but no topic would ring louder for Bucs fans than when the crew discussed Jackson’s potential landing spot next season.

Jackson’s future with the Bucs has been in the spotlight for months now, with his work ethic being questioned, his connection with quarterback Jameis Winston being questioned and a wave of cryptic social media posts.

For some Bucs fans it was a foregone conclusion that Jackson would not be returning to Tampa in 2019, but the hiring of head coach Bruce Arians has thrown a wrinkle in that narrative, and an exclusive interview with the team’s former wide receivers coach, Skylar Fulton, added context to many of the rumors.

On the podcast Lefkoe pitched a return to the Eagles for Jackson – who admitted he is without an agent – but Jackson replied with a laugh, saying, “We might be able to talk behind closed doors, but there’s too many cameras here.”

Later Simms and Lefkoe later brought up the 49ers as a fit, bringing Jackson back to his home state of California. Jackson brushed off the idea of playing in San Fransisco, but replied with a suggestion of his own.

“Worst case scenario, if anything, I would kind of like to end up in L.A, being a Ram,” Jackson said. “Sean McVay, you know we’ve got some connection from when I was in D.C., but we’ll see how it plays out. Right now I’ve got another year in Tampa, so we’ll see how it plays out.”
