Former Steelers quarterback Terry Bradshaw knows a little about criticism as an NFL player.

Long before he was winning Super Bowls and starring in Burt Reynolds movies, Bradshaw was a struggling quarterback who threw a ton of interceptions. Five times in his NFL career Bradshaw had more than 20 interceptions in a season, including throwing 46 in his first two season in the league.

On Thursday, Bradshaw was a guest on the popular Bucs fan podcast, The PewterCast, and shared his thoughts on Bucs QB Jameis Winston.

“I’ve said on the Fox Pregame Show that I’d like to be his coach,” Bradshaw said.”I think a former quarterback like myself, because I threw a lot of picks, I understand where they’re coming from. I think it’s probably going to be something… he’s a gambler and sometimes he makes bad decisions, in the sense, [where] he knows what he’s doing. It’s not like some of the picks that I saw earlier this year where he misread the coverage. He’ll, at times, think [that] he can squeeze it in there and it ends up being picks. There’s also dropped passes, it’s more than just him with 30 interceptions, come on.”

Bradshaw went onto say it can be turned around.

“You can fix that, you can fix it,” Bradshaw said. “I promise you, you can fix it. I didn’t have a coordinator or quarterback coach so if I had to defend myself a little bit, that’s what I’d throw that out there. He’s got one and they need to do a better job.”
