The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced on Saturday that they have added no. 2 tight end Cameron Brate to the injury report with an illness under the “questionable” designation. The team does get Tanner Hudson back after the big tight end missed the past two games following the death of his father, but the potential absence of Brate would leave the team with Rob Gronkowski as the only proven pass-catching option at tight end.

The Bucs also elevated cornerback Herb Miller from the practice squad, bracing themselves for the possible loss of starting corner Jamel Dean (groin) this Sunday. Dean missed the game against the Chiefs before the bye with a head injury, then suffered a groin injury upon his return to practice this past week. He is currently listed as Doubtful for Sunday’s game.

The Bucs host the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday at 1 pm.

Would be nice to have Motley this game.

Has he been getting much playing time in San Fran?

Motley is currently on the 49ers practice squad, so if the Bucs signed him they’d have to immediately place him on the 53-man roster. He’s not eligible for the Bucs practice squad unless they first sign him to the active roster, cut him again, and then allow him to go through waivers during which time any team in the NFL could potentially sign him.
