Tom Brady was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for October on Thursday.

In four games this month, the Bucs went 3-1 with wins over the Chargers, Packers and Raiders. In that time Brady 1,157 passing yards, 12 passing touchdowns, one rushing touchdown and just one interception.

The designastion comes just a few weeks after Brady was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week following his Week 4 performance over the Chargers.

This is Brady’s 11th time being selected the conference’s Offensive Player of the Month, his first time receiving the award for the NFC, and he becomes the first Buccaneer in franchise history to receiver the award.

Not sure when they started giving out this award but the fact that he’s the first Buc to ever get it is so sad lol

I hear you. Who could have imagined that one day the QB of the Bucs would be player of the month???? What’s next, league MVP? Superbowl MVP?????

Oh man, I can’t imagine him on the Cowboys. It would be like the first half last year. Full fledged carnival. Every game would be 42-40 lol. It would be fun to see though!

Not at all surprising though. It’s one thing to get player of the week. Anyone can get that. But to do it for 4 consecutive weeks. Jameis wasn’t humanly capable of having 4 straight elite games, without a complete pants crapping performance thrown in there. Among the many many many differences between Jameis and Brady, is consistency. Brady can do it for long stretches, Jameis can do it for a week or two and that’s about it

I just read where some NFL talking head is suggesting that Dallas trade for Winston.

Being that we’ve almost only ever had stellar Defensive players, if any, I guess this makes sense. Congrats to him. Hope he just keeps getting better and better in this Offense.

Not bad for an aged QB who can’t throw anymore!

Where is BigSombrero with his naysaying about Brady now or have resigning yourself to being wrong???

I have never been a Brady and has found it hard to root for him but this is pretty damned impressive. I am a Bucs Fan through and through so now I root…ugh…for Brady.

Go Bucs!

I know, right? I almost went straight to the comments with this article just to see if he had anything to say. He at least keeps it interesting.. I was super excited we got Brady, which makes sense with me being from Mass. and the Pats being my (distant) 2nd team behind the Bucs. Mostly I was excited because he’s the best to ever lace up and he has literally made a living out of proving doubters wrong and this year he has as many as he ever has! Anyway, I’d think as a Bucs fan first (I assume) BigS… Read more »
