The Buccaneers are scheduled to travel to New York to face the Giants on Monday Night Football, but a recent positive COVID test could potentially derail things.

Statement from the New York Giants:
Late last night, we were notified that a Giants player tested positive for COVID-19. The player was immediately self-isolated, and the contact tracing process was initiated.

All of the player’s close contacts were identified and were informed to remain home today. Those individuals will participate in meetings remotely. We are working closely with the NFL’s Chief Medical Officer regarding next protocol steps.

Quest Diagnostics Training Center will remain open, and the rest of the team will follow their normal practice and meeting schedule.

According to Tom Pelissero one of the Giants offensive lineman has tested positive.

Way too late to shift us into a different game, so this could become our bye week if the Giants can’t reasonably field a team. Or, maybe they lose an O-lineman or two and we just eat them up with pressures and sacks all night.

Hopefully our guys are following protocols. Keeping players off the Covid list is a competitive advantage now.

I thought the same exact thing. Just like any injury: the fewer illnesses, the better the team is set up.

At this stage of the season, every player knows the rules and regs. If they cannot adhere to those, then they should be out for the rest of the year…unpaid.
This will affect the teams that are following the rules, and these teams should not be penalized for a few individuals actions. Are they not college grads here? They should be able to read and follow instructions by now.
Sorry to be long winded, it just ticks me off that one or two people ruin it for all the others.

Morons. Did you read what BA explained what the protocol was to AB. Come to work, practice and go to classes. Go home. Repeat process the next day. If everyone would do the same thing and wear a mask we would be out of this thing. But no, not stupid humans. This isn’t a mystery virus, everyone knows how it is spread. I know it might sound a bit boring but would you rather do that or not make a couple of million a year at least. My parents sacrificed a whole lot more for four to five years and… Read more »

I’m not an anti-masker but it took multiple generations to cure polio through vaccination. There isn’t a good option to make COVID magically disappear.

Actually there is one way to not make it disappear but to help lower its transmission rate. Just like the way the way they took precautions before the polio vaccine. Where a god damn mask. IS that so difficult to understand.

No one knows if this guy wore his mask or not. Masks arent a guarantee. So pardon me if I think you can shove your condescension lol
