Latest Bucs Headlines

From the Notepad

  • Minus Winston knee brace debacle, Marpet and Dye are the first two tweaks in camp. Look at the rest of the NFL, that’s pretty good. Staying healthy is this team’s No. 1 priority during camp.
  • Noah Spence didn’t seem to get as many reps today. Perhaps it was a result of his scuffle from yesterday where he threw a punch at offensive lineman, Cole Cardner.
  • Cam Brate and Jameis Winston were on the same page again today. It’s almost muscle memory for those two now.
  • The NFL officials were at practice again today so the team could get practice dealing with penalties. The most common ones were still defensive pass interference, but there were a few false starts, even one we remember form Donovan Smith form the first team.
  • Jude Adjei-Barimah was the starting nickel cornerback again today and Javien Elliott was on the second team. Elliott had a great few days on the first team this weekend, so the team is likely just seeing what they have in everyone against the top competition.
  • Devante Bond was getting action as the second linebacker when the second team when nickel defense along with rookie Kendell Beckwith.
  • We still don’t know how much stock to put in Justin Evans working with the first team. Not sure how much of it is Conte getting rest or getting a better look at Evans against the best. We’ll see come preseason games.
