The Bucs’ Super Bowl win isn’t even 48 hours old yet, but the team is already looking ahead to the 2021 season and according to The Athletic’s Greg Auman signed a number of players to futures contracts on Tuesday.
Lots more coming today, but rookie guard Nick Leverett has signed a futures contract with the Bucs. Spent most of the year on practice squad, came to Tampa Bay undrafted after playing at N.C. Central and Rice.

A few more futures contracts confirmed for the Bucs, signing guys from their practice squad: OLB Quinton Bell, OL John Molchon now signed.

Few more Bucs practice squad players signing futures contracts — CB Herb Miller, WR Cyril Grayson, WR Travis Jonsen, TE Codey McElroy.

Auman also pointed out that despite the signings of futures contracts, the team did lose a practice squad member as kicker Greg Joseph has been signed by the Vikings.
That’s cool and all, but let me know when the real players get signed: Gronk, AB, Fournette, Barrett, Suh, David, (hopefully) Godwin
tough crowd! two days after the 2nd biggest day in franchise history and it already starts!
Free agency is still a ways away homie. Enjoy the afterglow a bit
We’re hungry for more. Brady won’t be here forever.
Also Evans gave up some of his money less than 24 hours after the Super Bowl so I don’t think anyone’s thinking prematurely.
what is a futures contract?
Claims rights to the player but doesn’t hit the cap until the next season. So doesn’t cost them anything immediately.
Can only do it with free agents and practice squad. Not starters.
Sounds good! No rest for the weary! Sucks we lost Joseph but glad they are staying on top of things! Gonna be exciting to see who we manage to hang onto and if we lose anyone who we are able to replace them with!
Bell, Leverett, Molchon, Miller and McElroy all have upside. Another year in these systems will help these players. Lets see which of these players emerge for 2021
