The Bucs’ Super Bowl win isn’t even 48 hours old yet, but the team is already looking ahead to the 2021 season and according to The Athletic’s Greg Auman signed a number of players to futures contracts on Tuesday.

Auman also pointed out that despite the signings of futures contracts, the team did lose a practice squad member as kicker Greg Joseph has been signed by the Vikings.

That’s cool and all, but let me know when the real players get signed: Gronk, AB, Fournette, Barrett, Suh, David, (hopefully) Godwin

We’re hungry for more. Brady won’t be here forever.

Also Evans gave up some of his money less than 24 hours after the Super Bowl so I don’t think anyone’s thinking prematurely.

what is a futures contract?

Claims rights to the player but doesn’t hit the cap until the next season. So doesn’t cost them anything immediately.

Can only do it with free agents and practice squad. Not starters.

Sounds good! No rest for the weary! Sucks we lost Joseph but glad they are staying on top of things! Gonna be exciting to see who we manage to hang onto and if we lose anyone who we are able to replace them with!

Bell, Leverett, Molchon, Miller and McElroy all have upside. Another year in these systems will help these players. Lets see which of these players emerge for 2021.

I hope they sign David and our kicker. I don’t think they can be replaced. Just my thoughts…..

I don’t think anyone disagrees. Half of the few Succop misses were blocked, the guy was as reliable as they come and David is absolutely necessary as not only a high character beloved player but one of our greatest of all time.

Kind of like we found Aaron Stinney, worked out pretty good, always alot of undeveloped talent in the NFL just waiting for the right chance.

A Superbowl winning team never keeps everybody. It’s almost impossible. You cannot blame a player for wanting to get paid. And some teams out there are gonna be slinging a lot of cash everywheres. There is no such thing as allegiance with very few exceptions It’s great Evans will take a pay cut. But how bout Brady and some of the others?. We shall see. But I got us losing 2 or 3 key good players at least. One of our assistant coaches just jumped ship today. Keep our Defense together though. Because despite all the Brady talk, DEFENSE WINS… Read more »

It’s ok twspin. Those who want to ride along for a repeat will do so. Those looking for greener pastures, it’s certainly understandable. But unlike previous years, Brady makes a couple of calls and we reload with a couple veterans who know and understand their roles and wouldn’t mind coming to the sun and fun in Tampa and run it again with the Brady.

Edelman s contract is up in NE. I have no doubt he’s already been on the phone to TB12.

Well seeing as, the biggest reason why Brady stayed in NE for nearly 20 years, was because he constantly took pay cuts, year after year after year, for the betterment of the team. So if it was needed, to keep a SB contending team together, Brady would take a pay cut. No questions asked

First of all, Brady already doesn’t ask for all that he can. He could easily ask for $40 mil and get it but instead he has always taken a reasonable contract (just like Jordan did) so the team can afford to keep good people around him. I have a feeling after seeing what this team can do together first hand that he would do what Evans suggested. I have a feeling this entire team will get together and do what needs to be done to keep everyone. If someone wants to follow the money then there’s no stopping them, but… Read more »

We have to get David and Barrett resigned. Unfortunately this will put us in a position of not being able to resign Godwin but that is the area we have the most depth in. Losing Godwin hurts big time but we are deep in the WR position. While it will hurt, it won’t have the impact of losing David or Barrett. I just do not think there is any way to get all three resigned. That is a major bummer as I believe Godwin is the most complete receiver on the roster. He does it all and will be missed.… Read more »

Fair points. But I whole heartedly disagree on some of your must keeps, or let go’s. I believe we can’t possibly let Godwin go. He’s a top 5ish WR in the league. And he can do it all. Catch, run, block. And is a supreme route runner. Plus Evans is not a spring chicken. He’s slowly starting to get up there in age. I would franchise Godwin. Suh, if it’s not a 1 year 2 MIL deal, see you later. To me, Vea is the driving force behind that DLine. Suh can be replaced by another veteran. Barrett I’d like… Read more »
