With the Bucs playing in Prime Time tomorrow on Thursday night football, the final injury report for the game is out. Four players are confirmed to be out, but two players look to be making their return this week.
Rueben Bain Jr., who has been out for two games, has fully participated at practice every day this week. He is expected to take the field in Dallas tomorrow after missing those games. Tight end Ko Kieft, who has only missed one game, was also a full participant at practice today. Kieft has been dealing with an elbow injury but was not ruled out for Week 5.
Kicker Chase Mclaughlin, who was shockingly added to Tuesday’s injury report, was back to full participation today. His groin injury that kept him out of practice yesterday is not serious enough to keep him out of Thursday’s matchup. This is great news for Bucs fans, as the team certainly doesn’t need to lose their kicking ace after already struggling offensively this season.

During Week 4, linebacker SirVocea Dennis and safety Antoine Winfield Jr. both suffered from injuries, causing them to leave the game. While the Bucs have substantial depth at linebacker, their depth at safety is razor-thin, and losing their 2x pro-bowler definitely isn’t helping the situation.
It is probable that the Bucs will elevate a safety from the practice squad, since they have already signed Ifeatu Melifonwu to the official roster after elevating him for three games. JJ Roberts and Silas Walters are both candidates for elevation this week.
Benjamin Morrison was also ruled out for this week. The cornerback was a regular on last season’s injury reports, with a soft tissue injury that caused him to miss games. He is now dealing with a quad injury that first arose during practice last week.
There is a chance that the Bucs will play Ayden Garnes for the second time this season. Garnes came in as an undrafted free agent and managed to earn a roster spot after an impressive preseason performance. He made his season debut last week, but Morrison’s lasting injury may give him more of an opportunity.

The Bucs and Cowboys will face off on Thursday at 8:15pm. After an 0-4 start, Tampa desperately needs a win. Hopefully the team can capitalize on the pieces returning to the roster and not let injuries drown them even further.
