As the news has come out that Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston will be suspended, his teammate Kwon Alexander tweeted out his support for his signal caller.

I dont know the facts but for every one saying his character sucks – if each and every one of you guys did 10% of the community work that he did since he has been a buc the world would be a better place. Not one person is ready to give the benefit of doubt to him . He did some shit when he was in his teens but who didn’t especially when you have more popularity than you can handle at that stage. Now if he did really grab her crotch then send him to jail for all i… Read more »

I agree with you. I have three daughters myself, and normally I would be livid. But this story stinks to high heaven. I think the story is that the NFL wants a scapegoat for its own past transgressions in handling situations similar to this.

Let me see if I’ve got this straight. Winston is being suspended for 3 games over a non-violent incident (no crime has been committed) which occurred 2+ years ago when he was drunk, his teammates are sticking behind him, and there have been no further incidents which anybody has been made aware of since March 2016, correct? Why on earth would the Bucs not stick with Winston, given he passes for 4000 yds (or close enough to it) during the rest of the season? While he may be a lot of things, I’m going to give Jameis the benefit of… Read more »

Who the PHUCK has the fan’s back? This was a totally avoidable situation involving a player who KNEW he was under the microscope and has put his teammates in a bad situation to start what is a very important season with multiple jobs on the line.

Fool me once, fool me twice but this? It’s a reality I didn’t expect and one all fans should be very disgusted about.

Why would he be under the microscope? He has not had an incident since he left FSU 4 yrs ago. We don’t know any of the facts and why is his word not as important as another player’s who is serving time? Apparently, the woman never felt bad enough about it to report it. She simply told her boss. I am not disgusted at all. Other than at the NFL. Considering all the crap that happened with wife beaters, and rapists in the NFL, this is nothing. And it should be treated as such. If he gets suspended it should… Read more »

Because two years ago when this incident happened he was only going into his second season. He had just settled monetarily with the young lady who accused him of rape. He WAS under the microscope then and certainly will be now. And that’s entirely on Jameis.

If Jameis commited a crime lets get the cops involved. Otherwise this is just Goodell further destroying the league with ridiculous suspensions. Hopefully the Bucs crass tunes out the low IQ Winston haters who have been desperately waiting for a “I told you so” moment.

the players agreed to these actions in their CBA – enablers will find any excuse for this idiot’s stupid behavior

Stupid? Yes. Criminal? No. He wasn’t drinking and driving, like ASJ was. He didn’t beat up anybody. IF Jameis touched this Uber driver inappropriately, she didn’t ask police to file charges. I’ve heard of no other incidents involving Jameis, and he does a lot of community service in the TB area. Try cutting the guy just a little slack!

I agree with slaythembucs & EricNV & nybuccguy. If Jameis is found guilty in a court of law then I wouldn’t support him. Anything else done by Goodell and the NFL is just BS by the NFL looking to protect the brand. People looking to end Winston’s career when he has not been charged with a crime ever and has been a model player on and off the field is ridiculous. I doubt the NFL can prove Winston groped anybody wither he did or didn’t do the accusation. His accuser has the same lawyer as his rape accuser also. Hmmm… Read more »

I agree. No criminal charges filed, and we’re a country that believes in giving the accused the benefit of the doubt. Jameis showed some maturity by not driving drunk, which so many others in his position would not have done. Something happened with the Uber driver – we don’t know what – but something that stopped short of requiring criminal charges being filed. That’s all we know. As dumb as Roger Goodell is, I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t know much at all beyond what we know at this point!

As much as half you morons want to assume guilt with basically no evidence, Kwon has his back because Jameis always has his teammates back. His teammates know the kind of man he is. In Kwons case specifically, the game Kwon played after his brother died, Jameis was the first teammate to go hug him after the game, and show his support for a hurting teammate. So yeah, Kwon is showing support for a good teammate who had his back at the lowest point of his life. But yeah, let’s just assume Jameis is guilty and is a complete degenerate… Read more »

Looks like Kwon Alexander needs to get Fitz back, Winston is suspended for three games maybe more, he has to make the Laywer go away and I think that going to be topic of a lot more posts in future.
The pewter boys have a lot of articles to write I think 3 games suspension is just for starters.

A commentor here says we should given Winston the..Benefit of the doubt? Guys..Sorry but I’m LMAO!!! As a retired Investigator, I’ve often found..where there’s been a lot of past smoke? Usually a fire has occured!! Lets see here..from ill advised comments, to alleged Rape, to walkin on..Crab legs..now this uber incident. None of’em are true right? jameis is a Trump..He’s a GD Saint!!…NOT!!!! (for the both of them!) Jameis is getting what he’s got comin. He probably deserves even more of a suspension. Meanwhile..Over in Titan country..There a squeaky clean kid from Hawaii preparing to take his TEAM..to yet another… Read more »

Can you prove rape or groping? If you can’t, you’re just a cynical fuck with nothing better to do than hate on somebody you never wanted on this team in the first place. Go back to your bottle of scotch at the end of the bar and leave the discussion to people who share a bit more sober objectivity about the issue.

And yet weirdly enough Mike Wright, Jameis has never been convicted of anything….weird huh? I can at least sleep better tonight knowing you’re retired from being an investigator. Because that’s a scary thought, knowing that there might be an assclown like you with a badge, going around labeling people guilty simply because you don’t like the guy. How many people did you arrest because you didn’t like their vibe or the way they looked? You are everything that’s wrong with the world

Kwon ought to be disgusted that he has a teammate that sexually gropes women without the woman’s permission. Wonder if Kwon has a sister and whether he’d got the back of anyone assaulting good ol’ sis.

I see I hit some Raw..Crab leg nerves here huh? (excuse the Pun). Like it or not..it is what it is. Jameis has been accussed of a lot of things from FL State to now. And all of’em ain’t false people. Hell, you don’t like it and neither do I. But Its time for Mr. Winston to, FACE THE MUSIC..square on and grow up. How come Mariotta never been accused of anything? I like Jameis. But he’s probably guilty as hell.
