On Wednesday, the Bucs made two roster moves in advance of their Week 18 game against the Panthers. Punter Bradley Pinion was activated from the COVID list. Pinion landed on the list last week, missing the Bucs game against the Jets. In more surprising news, Tampa Bay also opened the 21-day practice window for guard Aaron Stinnie.

Stinnie was originally injured just a few plays into his lone start of the year against the Colts. That was back in Week 12, with the expectation the guard would miss considerable time. Now, the window is open for Stinnie to appear this week against Carolina, or next week in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. Stinnie must return by January 26, or he’ll revert to injured reserve for the rest of the season. If the Bucs are still alive, that will be the Wednesday before the NFC Championship Game.
As for Pinion, it remains unclear what his future is. The Bucs chose to sit the veteran punter in Week 16, elevating Sterling Hofrichter in his place. Pinion was dealing with a hip injury, with rest as the prescribed solution. However, the expectation is that Pinion will resume his duties on gameday, if he’s fully healthy. Currently, the Bucs have zero players on the COVID list.
The Bucs host the Panthers in Week 18 to complete the regular season.
