The Bucs continue to get players back from the COVID/Reserve list before the season kickoff next Thursday. They activated offensive lineman Nick Leverett on Friday, in time for the lineman to participate in practice.
No Gio Bernard again for practice. Same goes for Jordan Whitehead.
Looks like OL Nick Leverett returned today, which means he’s off the COVID list. #Bucs

To make room for Leverett on the 53-man roster, the Bucs also placed outside linebacker Cam Gill on injured reserve. Gill missed the majority of training camp practices, and was not available for any preseason games. Last season, Gill played 12 games for the Bucs, mostly on special teams.
Leverett was able to make the roster this year due to his versatility along the offensive line. He got reps at tackle and guard and center during training camp. Leverett’s reps at center during the Bucs’ second preseason game represented his first time snapping in an actual game.
Following the Leverett activation, Tampa Bay has just two players on the COVID list. DT Ndamukong Suh and OL Earl Watford should be activated by Monday, according to head coach Bruce Arians. The Bucs will have to make two corresponding moves to get them on the roster.
