  1. “It falls on Jason Licht” – I almost had a heart attack when I heard Scott say that.

Bravo Scott, it took 5 years of losing, 5 years of missed playoffs, 25-48 record, a million bad kickers, bad free agent signings, failed draft picks, failed draft classes that look worse by the week and you can mark it down Sunday November 11th 2018 as the day Scott stopped defending the indefensible.

Curses end when you get good management. Ask the Boston Red Sox 4 time WS champions since 2004. Ask the Chicago Cubs who ended a 107 season title drought when they literally hired the same guy in Theo Epstein helped turn around the Red Sox. Go figure that good management matters. Or we can see what the next kicker experiment Licht will trot out. That would be fun too.

  2. How did Koetter become the offensive play-caller again?
How did we manage to make Brate a non-player on this Team?
How did we bring in all those free agent DL and have an even worse pass rush?
How did we trade down to get a Defensive Lineman with the 12th pick in the Draft and he is spot player?

    • Vinny Curry had 22 sacks in 6 seasons with Phi (3.5 a year). They realized they overpaid him so they cut him. Licht swooped in and gives Mr. 3.5 sacks a year the same 9 million a year that got him cut. Curry has 1.5 sacks which is basically his regular half season sack production for 9 million in cap space.

Vita Vea had 9.5 sacks during his 3 years at Washington. Again this is essentially 3 sacks a year. Like with Curry you’d be an idiot, or Jason Licht, to draft Vea high expecting him to do more in his rookie season in the NFL rushing the passer than he did in the PAC-12.

Carlton Davis and MJ Stewart combined for 1 interception in their last 2 season each (4 seasons total). As with Vea and Curry you can’t expect rookie corners who haven’t caught a ball in the ACC/SEC to magically start doing that again Drew Brees and the NFC South. This was entirely predictable.

  3. I would love to see an article about the Bucs who you would keep. I like the start of your list, but I’d add Brate, Godwin, and Watson.
Fire Koetter today. Make Todd Monken head coach.
Koetter proved today he has nothing to offer the team.

Giving Up On Winston Now Would Be Foolish Mistake By Bucs
    Mark Cook – Nov. 4, 2018

I ask the panel – does this makes more sense now?

  5. I see the witch hunting is in full force now. Koetter needs to be fired right now, not anyone else. Let’s address the issues at hand please and take it one week at a time. It’s Koetter who is going full speed in the opposite direction of a winning culture. We all saw the clues and he obviously couldn’t control himself any longer. He just had to take over play-calling yesterday. 60% in the red zone, which is what we had under Monken calling the plays… that would’ve won yesterday’s game. Yesterday’s loss is solely on Koetter. But because of his “I don’t know the answers to that” narrative over the years, it’s obvious that he is not head coaching material and firing him isn’t just because of yesterday. It’s the definitive evidence that we’re out of time with him and an in-house candidate would be much better for the future of these players (and team) regardless of wins and losses at this point.

  6. Can we get rid of Bryan Anger before or if we get rid of another FG kicker??? I mean seriously, Anger is the one constant in this FG point kicker turnover that has remained the same and I think it’s worth considering that Anger’s place-holdings might be a factor.

  7. Donovan Smith. You guys mentioned him and Pamphile in your podcast. Is it any wonder why these “good enough” guys want top 10 money when they have a head coach at the top who is just as selfish with play-calling duties?? Koetter’s lack of team-first attitude is the reason why players like D Smith and Pamphile are so selfish with their money desires. Is Koetter’s selfishness a factor why Doug Martin needed that “carrot” as Licht and Koetter had said? Is Koetter’s lack of team-first attitude why we can’t motivate players like Gerald McCoy to perform better?

Yesterday’s decision by Koetter to take over play-calling duties has destroyed my confidence in him for becoming a good Head Coach. It now feels like he was forced to relinquish them to Monken this year. We need to move on from him asap because the long-term effects from a HC who is not team-oriented can create long-term damage to the careers of these players. It’s no wonder why talented players come here and perform badly but then go elsewhere and do better or get phased out of the league.

  8. Wow, the absurd asides (from Cook) just don’t work. It’s not good when the editor in chief is the Redban of the podcast (JRE reference).
