PewterReport.com and Westshore Financial present the Pewter Nation Podcast, a weekly audio hour of news, analysis and inside scoop on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers delivered with a dose of humor and insight from Bucs beat writers Scott Reynolds, Mark Cook, Taylor Jenkins and Matt Matera, who also serves as the show’s producer. Look for the Pewter Nation Podcast each week on PewterReport.com for your listening pleasure during the 2019 offseason.

Mandatory mini-camp may have just wrapped with the players getting a couple of weeks off next, but that didn’t stop Pewter Report from getting a big time guest for this show. Bucs’ head coach Bruce Arians sat with us for an interview to reflect on how practice has gone from his vantage point, and his overall experience since becoming head coach of the team.

Don’t forget to put in a bid for a Bear Bryant Coke bottle with Bruce Arians’ signature on it. The proceeds will all go to the Arians Family Foundation.

Outside of coach Arians’ interview, the guys got into some topics such as who will be the starter at nickel, which player will return punts this year, and some more thoughts on Jameis Winston. Stay tuned for an action packed episode.

  1. Oh Bro Where Art Thou is a true classic! Great lines throughout!
    “She done R-U-N-N-O-F-T!”
“You boys are dumber than a bag of hammers!”
    “Soggy Bottom Boys!”
    “I don’t want FOP. I’m a Dapper Dan man!”
“This city is a geographical oddity. Apparently it’s 2 goddamn weeks from anywhere!”

Bruce Arians interview was great! Great questions! I especially liked the question about Arians previously saying QB’s needing 8 weeks when ELi was learning the Ben McAdoo offense. I liked his answer regarding Jameis and this team and offense- No excuses and the situation couldn’t be better for QB/WR.

Also, loved his answer about Rojo’s hands and routes plus his cut that put “ROJO OUT THE GATE!!”

Best podcast I’ve heard from you guys, ever. Great job Mark Cook after all the (well earned?) criticism for interupting endlessly from Uncle Stan and others!

  2. Great questions for BA. Great discussion afterwards. You are helping us lowly fans to fill in more of the picture of what is going with our Bucs!

    Go Bucs!!!

P.S. Suggest to Ford’s Garage to look into a the possibility of a location in the “Intown” area such as Tampa Heights, Ybor City or even downtown. Just a thought from a retired urbanite who no longer owns an automobile. (I am not a member of any Chamber of Commerce or anything like that.)

  3. I liken Jamies to Brett Favre, and . . . Jim Plunkett. Jim would pass across the field, which is generally a no-no. But, he often knew what he was doing.

  5. ROJO needed some coaching. Actually the entire 2018 draft class needed some coaching. A lot of these guys had starters ahead of them but injuries forced them into action way too soon as rookies. I wouldn’t be surprised if players like Vea, Cappa, ROJO, Stewart, Davis, Watson, Cichy and Whitehead actually look competent heading into year 2. If Cichy and Watson can stick with a new staff I feel good about this 2018 draft class.
