Just having fun. I’m already down one . Bucs just cut DE George Johnson. Didn’t figure that would happen until DE Jacquies was ready to go. Maybe he’s ready now. Oh well! Have a good day Trev. lol.
It’s shaping up to be a busy one already. You, too!
Cleaning up some of the mistakes of the past…. had to be done…. it is the only way to go to the next level.
looks great to me, QB may be a little off with Griffin signing the extension. I think they keep fitzy around though, he’s like a coach out there.
And Sefo will be spending all his time rehabbing and planning goat rescues.
Wow – I think you’re spot on!
Love your stuff macabee. You obviously have a lot of free time or have a cushy job with a government agency.
How about Retirement? I know it is becoming an impossible dream for many, but it is nice to have the time to actually speculate and create nicely constructed prognostications.
Disappointing that George Johnson was cut. Seemed to generate the most heat of the 2nd/3rd-teamers. Felt like he had a comeback season up his sleeve. Think they keep Lambert instead? Just keep 4 ends? I imagine they are scouring the wire intently for pass rushers right now. Wonder how Ryan Delaire’s rehab is coming along…
Hope you are correct on Stevie T. Seems like an upgrade of Silega and he’s a good dude. Easy to root for. That 5th WE spot seems likely to go to Huff with him being held out last night. Would much prefer Dye or even Reedy land the job but doesn’t seem to be in the cards.
NFL Trade Rumors has Blake Sims as a cut as well. Keep up, Trevor!
You may want to keep up. The Bucs cut Blake Sims Monday, August 28. lol.
Panthers waived Zach Sanchez. Didn’t see that coming. Liked him coming out although thought they may have over-drafted him a bit.

Source tells me that Sefo Liufau suffered a knee injury last night and will be waived to injured reserve. That… http://www.espn.com/espn/now?nowId=21-0695352357126413077-4 …
Lambert and Stevie T placed on IR. 🙁
Guess that means Silega with be DT4. Also, Koetter said Jacques Smith may be able to suit up for week 1 so I’d imagine we are looking at Ayers, Gholston, Spence, Russell, and Jacques. I can roll with that.
Cutting George Johnson leaves only two of Lovie Smith’s beloved FA’s on the team, Evan Smith, formerly known as Evan Dietrich-Smith and Clinton McDonald. I like McDonald but Hawley is a better center than Smith. Damn, I sure am glad I never let Lovie go grocery shopping for me.
Ward is probably going to make the team due to his versatility and with Lambert to IR.
RDE: Ayers, Spence
UT: McCoy, McDonald, Ward
NT: Baker, Siliga, Russell
LDE: Gholston, Jacques
It would not surprise me if the Bucs go with 10 DL. If not either Russel or Ward are left out.
Atlanta seems to have released every O-lineman that the picked up . Saints released Barnes .
And New England released Gronkowski .
Tunnelvizn gave me an idea! Trev will have all of your Buc cuts here, but if you are interested in seeing what the other 31 teams are doing, save this link. Maybe you will see a player you would like the Bucs to pick up. If you’re thinking back-up QB fugetaboutit, it ain’t happening. lol.
So far in the cuts no surprises.
So what’s the guess on any of these guys hitting the practice squad. There are some wacky rules involved in that so someone like Dontae Dye might not be eligible.
I didn’t know you spelled eligible like that, thank god for spell check.
Anyway, from what I saw, I thought Mike Liedke had a good game at guard Thursday night.
Also think Riley Bullough will return. Despite what some may think, a player can improve their mobility. The Bears monster MLB, forgot his name, was able to do it. They actually have pro training camps for that and he went to one.
The DE Mehdi Absmedad also looked good. Josh Allens time might be out. Not sure about Tevin Westbrook. He certainly has the hands for the position but he could be lacking in the blocking department.
Jeremy McNichols will definitely be back unless another team picks him off the waiver wire but if they do they will have to put him on the starting 53 and he will get another playbook to study and a QB to try and block for in the process. Not a healthy idea.
I can see Russell Hansbrough here again but I don’t think Josh Huff is eligible for anyones practice squad but I could be wrong.
Macabee is super smart so he might know the criteria of that.
Lol. DRD, sorry to disappoint. Not super smart, just know how to find info on the Internet and fortunate enough to have time to do so. I don’t know the past tenure of each of the players you mention, but here is the criteria that would determine their eligibility. Good luck with your choices!
Typo of Freudian slip?
Great work Trevor!!
Just something that crossed my mind for you to use next time
How about put numbers on the players for us to know how many cuts we have left.
Thanks for you work
Who is the Long Snapper? Both were released?
