The Bucs were busy making moves to their roster on Friday as they have waived wide receivers Jaydon Mickens, Spencer Schnell and outside linebacker Nasir Player.

Mickens was part of the Bucs practice squad last season and got called up to the 53-man roster on Christmas Eve.

Schnell, who was the most notable of the group for his battle to make the team in training camp, was promoted to the Bucs active roster on December 18th and played in one game mainly on special teams where he had two punt returns for three yards.

Player signed with the Bucs this year as an undrafted free agent out of East Tennessee State.

Earlier in the day the Bucs made a separate roster move by placing rookie running back Raymond Calais and one-year back Aca’Cedric Ware on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. They are the second and third players to be added to this list, which includes rookie running back Ke’Shawn Vaughn, who was placed there on Tuesday.

With 3 roster spots open and COVID circulating through the RB room, I wonder if the Bucs will sign Ray Rice, AB, and Rueben Foster?

All 3 have had plenty of time to rest and haven’t been found guilty of the crimes they were charged with, so you know they’re Chef-blowhole and cgmasterbater approved!

Schnell means “fast/quick”, in German…. for a WR it is kind of appropriate. Don’t you think?

Shnell looked good in the preseason last year. I’m surprised he got cut so soon. The Bucs must really like their depth at WR
